Computer graphics softwares like blender work hard to simulate the real world from the eyes of a camera, however we have unlimited creating potential in this space - although those possibilities are bogged down by how good our graphics cards are. Our project idea stemmed from a bit of a childish vision of an animal being lifted by balloons away from the world, doubly childish because it was inspired by Pixar’s Up. However this project serves as a fun, creative way to see the imaging concepts of this class come together into a personal project.
We created the scene to demonstrate the powers of ray-tracing within Blender’s Cycle engine by including materials that would interact with the world lighting in interesting ways
